More than half of the municipality is field, forest, lake and stream. The countryside can be enjoyed in the Deer Park (Dyrehaven), another option is canoeing on the main stream (Mølleåen) passing the many mills, the cradle of Danish industry.

Visit the "Farmers Village" and the old houses
Bondebyen, (the Farmers' Village,) is the oldest part of Kongens Lyngby, located on the slope to the northeast of Lyngby Church.

On a good day you can go bathing, swimming, fishing and sailing on Mølleåen or the lakes. You can play golf, horse ride, dance, cycle or enjoy the horse races.
